Public Square to host more than 280 events this year

Meet me in The Square this Summer!
 

Public Square will host more than 280 programs throughout the summer and fall in Cleveland.

The programming schedule brings a wide variety of events that are sure to bring thousands of visitors to downtown Cleveland’s premier outdoor venue and urban park.
 

The programs are a mix of extremely popular events that have occurred since the opening of the newly renovated Public Square.

In addition, several exciting new events highlight the key mission of the Group Plan Commission, which connects people to places and develops and links Cleveland’s public spaces, while reshaping the heart of Cleveland.
 

RETURNING FAVORITES
 

Summer Splash in The Square presented by The Cleveland Foundation
 
Free activities for children under 12, daily from 11 AM - 4 PM, starts June 1
 

Summer Splash is returning to The Square thanks to a generous donation from The Cleveland Foundation. This is a FREE daily program that offers kids an active way to enjoy summer vacation. Summer Splash happens every day from June 1 – August 31, now extended by two hours each day. 
 

Each day, a limited number of free lunches will be available for kids from the City of Cleveland Department of Recreation. Look for featured Summer Splash events including more than 20 daily activities, plus celebrity chef cooking demonstrations for kids, story time with Cleveland Public Library, music exploration with Cleveland Music Settlement, and of course, Splash Pad fun! 
 

Kids must be accompanied by a parent or care provider.

Food Truck Tuesday in The Square powered by boostmobile
 
24 consecutive weeks, starting May 7
 

Food Truck season in Cleveland OFFICIALLY kicks off in Public Square on May 7. Many of Cleveland's favorite local food trucks will serve lunch for 24 consecutive weeks. Stop by with your friends or co-workers to grab lunch and enjoy the beautiful landscaped gardens in the Square.

Yoga on The Green returns!
 
41 FREE yoga sessions every Wednesday and Sunday
 

Everyone is invited to attend FREE weekly yoga sessions every Wednesday at 5:30 PM and every Sunday morning at 10 AM beginning May 8. The sessions are led by trained yoga instructors who will promote healthy living and relaxation.

Participate in civic conversations moderated by The City Club of Cleveland
 

For the Love of Cleveland is a series of civic conversations held at the Quicken Loans Stage in Public Square. Join in the conversations which cover a variety of topics about our city while you enjoy your lunch hour.

Square Sounds, live music daily
 
Listen to live musicians in The Square daily from 11:30 AM – 1:00 PM
 

There’s no better way to enjoy lunch hour than in the Square listening to a great lineup of top local musicians. Performers will present a variety of musical genres including Pop, Rock, R&B, Jazz, Salsa, Country and Island fusion.  Check the Public Square events calendar for a daily performance schedule.

The Great Pumpkin Party in the Square
 
FREE Kid-friendly Halloween Fun Saturday, October 26
 

 
The Great Pumpkin will leave thousands of pumpkins in the Square so that kids of all ages can enjoy playing in the pumpkin patch, decorating pumpkins, face painting, hay maze and of course, trick-or-treat.

MLB All-Star Weekend
 
Celebrate MLB’s All-Stars in Cleveland
 

Public Square will participate in a variety of MLB All-Star game related activities. Be on the lookout for an update on special programs related to All-Star weekend coming to Cleveland in July.
 

Paint the Tower! 
 
Enjoy a glass of wine, meet a local winemaker, paint Terminal Tower. July 12, in The Square
 

Paint the Tower on Friday, July 12 at 6:00 PM. Guests will learn about the history of one of Cleveland’s most iconic structures while enjoying a glass of wine and painting an image of Terminal Tower on canvas.

Recital.
 
Celebrate grace, style, and the performing arts. August 3, in The Square
 

Recital is coming to The Square on Saturday, August 3. This free event features live performances from some of the area’s top dance studios. Guests can enjoy live dance performances, listen to music, and meet with local dance instructors in this first-time event in The Square.
 

Downtown Residents Association Annual Meeting
 
Meet fellow downtown Cleveland residents. June 14, in The Square.
 

The Downtown Cleveland Residents Association will host their annual meeting in The Square. This is a ticketed event featuring a cocktail hour, dinner, awards and will also include fun, community building activities.

Family Picnic
 
Kick-off Labor Day Weekend in The Square on August 31
 

Families can enjoy the beginning of Labor Day Weekend at this unique event that will offer numerous outdoor activities including sack races, balloon toss, obstacle courses, eating contests and more. This program will also feature a live performance by the Jazz Heritage Orchestra.
 

A family picnic meal, including beverages, will be available.
 



 
Visitors to Public Square are invited to connect to FREE Wi-Fi powered by everstream. Guest Wi-Fi service gives visitors the opportunity to work outside, share photos or videos of their experiences in The Square, or visit the Public Square website for information on upcoming events.
