ATTENDANCE POLICY

A work schedule that you can commit to and has been agreed upon is established.

The continuity of our workflow depends on your attendance for scheduled hours, while poor attendance creates a hardship for the Group Plan Commission (GPC) and may result in disciplinary action or termination.

Below you will find the inside scoop on your schedule, availability, requesting off and more!

WORK SCHEDULE

Meet with supervisor and establish your work schedule.

AVAILABILITY CHANGE

  • Submit in writing your proposed change of schedule, providing two weeks advance notice when possible.

  • Meet with supervisor to confirm approval of new schedule.

REQUEST OFF

  • Submit a Time Off request form and confirm your request with a supervisor while providing two weeks advance notice when possible.

CALL OFF

  • It is your responsibility to find a co-worker to cover your scheduled hours.

  • Post the open date and work schedule on the “When I Work” app

  • Call and/or Email your supervisor and GM a minimum of four hours prior to your shift with the reason for your absence and the name of your replacement.

  • If a co-worker works your scheduled hours, your absence will not be counted against your attendance record.

NO CALL - NO SHOW

Termination will result if there is a “No Call and No Show” without appropriate documentation citing the reason for your absence.

LATE

  • Seven minutes past your scheduled start time is considered late.

  • A verbal warning will be issued on the second occurrence.

  • Three late occurrences within a semester results in a written warning.

  • Four late occurrences may result in termination.

  • Termination will occur after two written warnings.

LUNCH BREAK

  • If you work six or more consecutive hours you will automatically receive a thirty-minute lunch break.

  • Coordinate your break schedule in advance with your supervisor to ensure the event and program is properly covered.

  • Let your supervisor know when you leave for lunch and when you return.
