This week in The Square kicks off with a big Cleveland celebration. Celebrate our city's 223rd birthday. The celebration starts with a unique commemoration service led by the Early Settlers Association. Stop by the Moses Cleaveland Statue at 10:30 Monday morning. At 12:23 guests are invited to grab a free cupcake, while supplies last, on the Cleveland Foundation Centennial Plaza. While you're there don't forget to snap a photo and share it to your favorite social media channel using #inthesquare.


 

Square Sounds continues to bring live music to The Square each weekday during lunch. Here's this week's lineup: Paulo Costa Trio, Monday Paul Christensen, Tuesday Luca Mundaca, Wednesday Eric Embacher, Thursday Victor Samalot, Friday

 

Tuesday features the final installment of For the Love of Cleveland, hosted by The City Club of Cleveland.


"For the Love of Cleveland" is a free series of forums that address some of the issues facing Cleveland's neighborhoods.


This year there will be four programs hosted on The Fund Foundation Green, that will address topics centered around the subject of climate change. Join the conversation through the lens of four natural elements. This week's topic: July 23 - Fire: Heating Up to 100 Percent Renewables

A new lineup of the region's favorite food trucks roll into Public Square every Tuesday to service up lunch. Trucks will be serving lunch 11:30 - 2 PM along North Rockwell.


Grab a bite to eat and sit outside and enjoy the weather. This week's lineup includes: A Taste of Nawln’s The Beachcomber Food Truck

Barrio Food Truck Slammin' Sammy's BBQ

216 Bistro Food Truck

The Cedar Grill


 

Yoga on The Green happens Tuesday at 5:30 PM and Sunday morning at 10 AM. This is free event led by certified yoga instructors from across the region. Bring a friend and a mat, and take some time to relax with Yoga on The Green.

 

Of course, downtown Cleveland's coolest outdoor attraction is "Summer Splash in The Square presented by the Cleveland Foundation." This is a free program that happens daily from 11am - 4pm. Kids of all ages are welcome to to stop by to play of the splash pad or participate in one of more than 20 free activities like jump rope, hula hoop, and more. This week features Christmas in July, happening Thursday, July 25. Kids will enjoy some holiday themed activities even though it's summer in Cleveland.
