Can we rent the rink for a private event?


Rink rentals vary in price based upon peak hours and availability. Please inquire HERE.

Are there age or height limits for children?


No, there are no age or height limits for children.




Are there children's skating lessons?


Yes, Saturdays 2PM - 3PM. Lessons are free with admission.




What size skates are available to rent?


Skate rental is included with ticket purchase for Children's size 9 to Adult size 13.

*While we have a large supply of every size, there is a possibility that we will run out of a size for a period of time. We encourage you to enjoy other holiday festivies in Public Square until skates become available.




Will the rink close due to weather conditions?


The Cleveland Foundation Skating Rink may be closed based upon weather conditions, condition of the ice, and safety considerations for the skaters. Closures will be announced via social media @CLEpublicsquare and on our website: www.clevelandpublicsquare.com




Is there a time limit to skate?


No, there is no time limit for skating.




How many skaters are permitted on ice at the same time?


150 skaters at any given time.

*Regarding social distancing and Covid protocol, it is required that current policies set forth by the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), the city of Cleveland, and the state of Ohio will be adhered to and enforced. Due to being outdoors, masks are not required, although social distancing is recommended.

Ticket sales are at the Skate Rental Kiosk located on the Cleveland Foundation Centennial Plaza during listed Rink hours. Credit or debit card payments only.
