Curling in the Square

Sweep your way through winter with this free intro to curling experience, led by the Mayfield Curling Club! It is open to anyone who wants to learn more and try out this winter sport, just in time to watch it in the 2026 Winter Olympics. No equipment necessary. Just show up in weather-appropriate clothing!

Wednesday, January 28th and Wednesday, February 4th

6-8PM at the Cleveland Foundation Ice Skating Rink in Public Square

Dilly Dilly Donuts will be on site on February 4, selling fresh donuts and hot coffee, so be sure to come hungry and enjoy a sweet treat while you curl!

Ice Rink Hours

  • Monday-Thursday: CLOSED (Private rentals only except Jan 19 - MLK Day)

    Fridays: 5-10PM

    Saturdays: 12-10PM

    Sundays: 12-8PM

    January 19 (MLK Day): 12-5PM

    February 1 (Closing Day): 12-8PM

Ticketing

Ticket sales are at the Skate Rental Kiosk located on the Cleveland Foundation Centennial Plaza during listed Rink hours. Credit/Debit/ApplePay payments only - NO CASH SALES

Individual: $15 - Includes Skate Rental

10 Pack: $130 - Includes Skate Rental (Tickets must be purchased at one time by one person.)

Rink Rental Rates: All rink rentals are variably priced based upon peak hours and availability. Out of the Box will determine if rink rental is available and the associated rental rate.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • No. Due to safety concerns for all skaters, skate aids are not available. 

  • We stock skates from Children's size 9 to Adult size 14.

    While we have a large supply of every size, there is a possibility that we will run out of a size for a period of time.  We encourage you to enjoy other activities in Public Square until skates become available. 

  • The CF Skating Rink will be closed based upon weather conditions, condition of the ice, and safety considerations for the skaters. Closures will be announced via social media on Facebook, X, and Instagram.

  • No. Ticket sales conclude 30 minutes before closing time. Skaters must vacate the ice at closing time. 

  • 66' x 99' oval / 375 linear feet

  • The CF Skating Rink is fully ADA accessible. Wheel chairs may access the ice through the rink
    re-surfacing doors.
